Portfolio

This is pretty meta, hey?

I can't begin to tell you how many times I've redesigned my portfolio. Part of this is my inability to sit still, and the other part is my obsessive attention to detail. I certainly do become a bit of a perfectionist with projects I'm passionate about. I really wanted this instance to be a combination of professionalism and fun, so I went with a much lighter and colorful theme than previous iterations.

Final Concepts

In playing around with concepts, I got stuck on the newer CSS3 property, mix-blend-mode. This property allows for some pretty cool stylization of content on webpages where previously you would have to user rasterized images. Playing around with this property, I discovered using the "screen" value, and RGB objects, I could blend into white.

Screen Blending Technique

Using this technique, I applied to to some "blob" and a couple sinewaves; you know, like the ones on my home page!

If you're viewing this on mobile, you might've noticed my rounded hamburger menu. I originally was going to just use a simple 3 line hamburger icon, but after thinking about the roundness of my font choice and elements around the website, something just didn't seem right with it. So after fooling around with different shapes I ended up with this:
